We bought three of these blackout shades for our bedroom windows, to help us sleep in longer. They were easy to install, are easy to raise and lower, look nice, and work extremely well. VERY happy with them. Would recommend and buy again.These shades are incredibly easy to put up. I bought these last year as well. Once you put one up the rest will be a snap. They also do great at blocking light and heat. The ones I put up last year are still looking perfect. The brackets are metal so won’t yellow, get brittle and crack like other blinds. All in all a great purchase and I’ll continue replacing old blinds with these.Great productThis is a good shade for blocking light. the plastic hardware to direct your chain is light duty, other than that it is doing a good jobThe product is fine but you guys sand me a 40 inch and. I ordered a 41 inchThe roller for the bottom of the chain can’t be used on our application.I bought these for a second home that stays vacant for weeks at a time. This home is a ranch in central Texas and sometimes gets as high as 110 degrees Fahrenheit. I bought these in hopes of reducing the heat inside our home while we are not there. We currently have fairly good blinds, but you could still feel the heat coming through. I installed these will ease and did it by myself. I installed them inside the blinds, so I still have the blinds there for aesthetic purposes. When I am there, I pull them all the way up and you can not even notice they are there. They do block out significant heat and is much better on our AC unit. I took away one star only because there is a little light shining through on the sides. It’s not much. I assume you would have to get custom shades for it to be 100% perfect. Overall, I am extremely happy with these shades. They look good from the outside of the house too! I did not take pictures when I was there last but I am fairly picky when it comes to this kinds of stuff. They really work well and look nice. I’m not sure I would want it by itself without the Blinds in front of it though. Overall great purchase.The shade works very well - super thick and black out. As easy to install as any blinds of this type are (kinda hard, but not impossible). HOWEVER: major dealbreaker is that the chain broke after maybe 7 months of regular use. The replacement chain recommended to purchase also doesn't fit at all. Super frustrating to have to throw out an entire blind just because of the faulty chain.
