Over the two decades we've lived in our house, the blinds over the kitchen sink have been the most prone to...just gradually failing. Pull-strings get frail and won't grip in the right position - or crooked - or they simply break. The slats themselves get spattered with assorted stuff from a kitchen and just look worn out.In short, we've had to swap them out for new ones a fair number of times. The inside of the window frame has had holes drilled in it many times to accomodate different holding brackets - and there were holes already there from previous owner's blinds. So, at this point, it's real tricky whether the area necessary to hold the brackets has enough strength to hold new brackets at all.So, the solution is this kind of squeeze-hold blind. Obviously you can't hold up big thick plantation shutters with a friction fit. However, slim blinds, like these aluminum ones, are light enough to do the trick.And they do the trick very well. They look downright elegant compared to the ones we've had before. They have a nice gray/satin-chrome finish - not bright, not dull. They block all light as desired, and can be raised and lowered with ease.In short: highly recommended.Theses blinds are fantastic! They are quite sturdy, attractive and so easy to install. They work with tension so you just have to tighten the screw like mechanism on each side tight against the window frames. It has a cover that hides the mechanism so it looks attractive and like one piece at the top. There is no cord to hassle with to adjust the blind up and down. You just push them up or pull them down. No need to adjust the length either. This means no removing excess blinds and tying the string at the bottom. Theses blinds are so attractive and easy and much sturdier than the thin vinyl blinds. The simplicity of installation and the functionality of these blinds as well as a polished attractive look is everything I could ask for. I’m so glad I found these. I just love them.Not the most impressive quality. They install easily. Cheap materials though. I hope they last a while, we will see. Strings and slats are all very thin and not great quality, but they work as advertised.I bought 2 of them, after I had new windows installed in my home. My husband's health is not the best, so I needed shades that I could install all by myself. These were perfect!i never write reviews but this product is just too good!! i rent an apartment and my windows did not come with blinds and i don’t know the first thing about how to install anything… but these were soooo easy! took 5 min to install and they look great and work super well. couldn’t recommend this moreEasy to install. I liked that no tools or drilling was required. I have had them up for 2 weeks and they are sturdy. My only complaint would be the high price.I absolutely cannot assemble or I install ANYTHING!!!… Yet, in a minute, I actually did these!They look great and I couldn’t be happier!great productFantastic.
