I love this product … after finally completing the installation. It is high quality and attractive. The shade's performance (both light blocking and remote-controlled raising/lowering) exceeds my expectations. The problem is with inadequate information; Starting from the ordering process to final installation. I still gave it five stars based on post learning curve - the shade is that impressive.The shade seems to be targeted to experienced installers. It would not be particularly hard to order/install if adequate information was provided. Starting with ordering. The web site is a bit unclear whether the manufacturer will automatically add the suggested three inches to length and width for extra light blocking or the customer should add that to their base dimensions. The manufacturer will not add any length/width to the customer provided dimensions. They will deliver exactly what the customer specifies to the 1/8 of an inch. The important dimension is the width. This is because the travel limit of the shade is programmable. If the shade is a bit too long - no problem. Simply program the limits of travel. Note: This extremely important fact (programmable travel limits) is totally left out of manufacturer provided information (sales, installation, owner/user). Amazing. Note there is a QR code on the information envelope that will get you to a Yoolax site that provides programming info. However, this is not obvious and is somewhat hard to find.Yoolax uses a Dooya motor/controller. This is a very good/flexible device. However, Yoolax takes the customers dimensions, cuts the width, then programs the length to achieve the customer requested dimension. They likely make standard lengths they cut to costumer specific width. When you get the shade, the length is programmed to the customer provided length dimension. This is crazy. It requires the shade be mounted with great precision and rotated into the bracket to within a couple of degrees to get it to lower to the customer specified length. After understanding the travel limits can be very easily be programmed; it becomes apparent the shade can be vertically mounted with very loose tolerances (order a few extra inches in length to have plenty of material).
